This white paper discusss the alternative data integration approaches like "Extract, Transform, Load" (ETL) approach which takes the data from its sources to a staging area in which data sets are manipulated and transformed into a target representation and also another approach that is data virtualization, in which the data remains stored at the source and a conceptual view is materialized on demand.
