White Paper Abstract:
The growth of the Internet in the last three decades has been immense. This steady growth is picking up pace and is creating a new pervasive paradigm in communications and computing. Rapid digitization and the emergence of the next generation of communications technology have had an impact on both enterprises and their customers. As we move into an all IP-world, communications would encompass a large variety of consumers-to-devices and increasingly devices-to-device communications, making it extremely important that IP also evolve to the next level. Unfortunately, most businesses still rely on IPv4 addresses which have already been exhausted.
Since an IPv6 migration is an imperative, operators and businesses need to plan accordingly and in advance to ensure business continuity requirements. The large scale adoption of IPv6 will not only make the Internet more efficient and secure, it will also be a gateway into the digital world with new revenue sources and models.
