White Paper Abstract:
Independent software vendors (ISVs) are plagued by license compliance challenges. Global software piracy is just one part of the problem, albeit a huge one. But apart from piracy, ISVs often find that there are other reasons customers are noncompliant. One among them is customers' failure to implement strict license usage policies and safeguards due to a variety of factors. This white paper looks at the reasons companies fall out of license compliance and offers a view on how to create an effective solution that will be acceptable to both the ISV and the customer. It concludes with a glimpse of the potential paybacks that result from the implementation of an automated license compliance solution by examining the returns achieved by one of our major ISV clients
