White Paper Abstract:
This document describes the combination of VI and per-VC/VP traffic shaping not only enables multi-QoS traffic shaping for a virtual trunk, but also facilitates hierarchical traffic shaping on a UNI port with simple, future software upgrades. Hierarchical traffic shaping on a UNI port enables a BPX service provider customer to offer virtual-channel-connection (VCC) services to remote subscribers by using the public ATM VPC services as the transport.
