Cisco Systems engaged Miercom to independently review six telephony-related configuration and management tools just released for the SMB and mid-market environments. For Small-to-Medium Business (SMB) IP-telephony systems, the Cisco IP Communications Express Quick Configuration Tool (QCT) lets usersefficiently set up new telephony systems. And the Cisco Catalyst Express 500 Device Manager and Cisco Network Assistant v3.0 toolsprovide both quick configuration and effective management of CatalystExpress 500 switches. For the mid-market, the Cisco Voice Provisioning Tool (VPT), greatly simplifies MACs (Moves, Adds, andChanges). And the Cisco IP Communications Operations Managerand Cisco IP Communications Service Monitor tools facilitate and simplify the management of Cisco IP-telephony networks.
