White Paper Abstract:
Much of the discussion around modern core network design boils down to an age-old debate on the use of packets versus circuits. Packets are connectionless and more flexible; circuits are connection-oriented and have traditionally added predictability to the mix, at the cost of more bandwidth being tied up for their usage.
